New POP UP Shop with The DLR Jewellery Group Opens this week!

THE HEART BETWEEN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE SEA We are delighted to announce the opening of our new pop up shop at Park House, Upper George's Street, Dunlaoghaire, Co. Dublin! The project which includes 15 different local jewellery designers is supported by the DLRCEB and has taken the opportunity of this fantastic location (directly opposite The People's Park) to showcase the amazing talents of LOCAL designer makers. The broad selection of designs and materials is every woman's dream! And there is no way anyone could leave the store without finding exactly what they need and I'm sure you may be even tempted by plenty which you don't! What a wonderful opportunity to support local Irish craftsmanship! Every colour, every style and price points to suit every pocket! The grand opening is Friday 1st of April 2011 but the doors are open from today! Opening Hours:  Mon - Sat 10am - 6pm & Sun -11am - 6pm Please pop in and have a look! New commisioned piece for Emma Kate Tobia (Soprano) with Fiona Whyte Dress!

I was delighted to make a special piece for Emma Kate Tobia which was an Antique Lime Celtic Spiral that she wore with a stunning Fiona Whyte dress whilst attending and performing at the St. Patrick's Day events in NY last week. Emma Kate called me and described the dress to me but I never actually got to see it! not even in a photo! I was so excited when i saw how well the two worked together! Emma Kate also presented Mary Higgins Clark with a day wear version which I made for her. Mary Higgins Clark was grand marshal for the St. Patrick's Day festival in NYC. Rebeka Kahn Artwear at Showcase Ireland 2011

We are delighted to be exhibiting at this year's Showcase Ireland 20011 where we were selected again to feature on Creative Island along with so many other wonderful Irish crafts people. It has been lots of long hours and preparation over the last few weeks but we hope to meet some exciting new potential stockists over the next 5 days. Pics of our new look stand to follow! Once we have it all set up! There is a very exciting week ahead, including a reception in Aras an Uachtarain with Presdent mary McAleese! which we are very much Looking forward to! Rebeka Kahn says good bye to The Loft!

After a fantastic 15 months at The Loft in Powerscourt townhouse centre, we are delighted to now be moving on to better things! One of which is our new website complete with secure on line shopping cart! We really enjoyed our time at the Loft and the company of the other traders, so many wonderful and lovely people! some who have come and gone such as Heidi Higgins who went on to open her own beautiful store in Portlaoise, others who have gone in different directions and of course those that remain with stunning work on offer, such as Jennifer Rothwell with her stunning silk dresses and faux fur coats to die for (I am lucky enough to own a gorgeous JRothwell faux fur scarf and a little girls dress! so so beautiful!), Sinead Doyle who has beautifully tailored pieces in amazing fabrics, Dee Harteincredible and really different one off pieces, Bev from B Design has lots of different garments but I personally love her hand made scarves which are an outfit in themselves, Rob from Lady Umbrella  just check out their website to see their really quirky collection of tee's and bags, Lisa Shawgi stunning and flowy knitwear, Yvonne from Eve Ella delicate handcrafted silver jewellery, Jean Cronin and Lisa Perkins (who both do an amazing collection of vintage and always have new stock with interesting finds), Gustavo Resevoir Boots who does really funky boots! And so many more! too many to mention! such a great selection of innovative and beautiful designs! ...we will miss them all. We will now be focusing on making your on line shopping and browsing experience so much more enjoyable and user friendly! The new on line shop will have extra fantastic deals and surprises so keep an eye out for these! We will also still be offering our one to one personal service via email or phone - so there will always be a 'person' at the other end for you so as you can discuss your own special requirements. We are very excited about this move and hope that you will all continue to support us through our website and exhibitions in the coming year - which is going to be a really exciting time! Watch out also for our two pop-up shops! Coming in February! As part of the 2011 Year of Craft! We will be in Dunlaoghaire for four weeks from the 3rd of February and Stillorgan for another four weeks after that!! The exact premises have not been confirmed as yet but we will of course keep you all posted and look forward to seeing some of you at the launch!!
