This piece has the most stunning array of purples, lilacs, pink, blues, indigo, violet and oil slick metallics on a truly 'PURE' raku fired background! To me this is what raku is all about! Where the smoke penetrates the clay during the firing, to give these wonderful matt slate, greys and soft black finish!
The photo just doesn't capture the full beauty of this piece! It's our favourite in the studio this week!
The colours and metallics will change throughout the day as the daylight changes!
